SoZo
The theatrical production designer Sonya Zohrabyan stands behind the SoZo brand. Sonya is accustomed to appreciate the figurative and multivalued semantic content in each creation.
The SoZo project began in 2014 with a game of creating jewelry from unexpected objects: screw-nuts. This game led Sonya to focus on the study of jewelry. In her works, Sonia is exploring the possibilities of transforming traditional forms of jewelry as independent objects and their interaction with the human body.
The idea behind the “Device” collection is the classification and study of the clamps that capture the modern man. Restraints of society in a broad sense – stresses, complexes, inability to act, emotions blocking, social “immobility”, fixation on nonessential things, all come literally to life in her jewelry in the form of objects that are fixed on the body with the help of a system of stops, levers and presses.
