Storage duration: The __utma cookie is a permanent cookie and has a validity period of two years. Each new visit updates the expiration date. The cookie can also be completely deleted by a manual removal.

__utmb
Purpose: Registers a timestamp of the exact time the user accesses the Web site. Used by Google Analytics to calculate the duration of a website visit.
Storage duration: Session, will be deleted at the latest after a browser session. However, the __utmb cookie only has a validity period of 30 minutes. Every page view updates this.
